Do all brides pray for “No Rain” on their wedding day?

I have heard this over and over and over throughout the years. Funny thing though . . . the weddings that we did shoot while it was raining, turned out fantastic. Does this mean that all our photographers secretly do a “rain dance” the night before the wedding day? (well yes, I guess some of us do). I am kidding of course, but I do have to say that having the elimination of bright sun, squinting people and flat light, is a welcome site for any serious photographer who is attempting to get the most perfect images of the couples wedding day.

Our latest Wedding which was on Friday of this last week was no exception. It literally rained throughout the entire wedding ceremony. There were no additional lights as well. We most definitely had our work cut out for us. Jackie helped me shoot this event and it a very unique trick to pull off. We are currently looking at the images from the event and they look fantastic. They will be linked from the “events” page here in a few days. The flowers were perfect (thanks Dawn), the music was unsurpassed (thanks Cory) and the food was perfect (what else would you expect from Beacon Hill?)

It was cold outside, the ground was soaked, the kids were everywhere and having a ball, the bride, groom and entire wedding party seemed to be having the time of their lives. And when everyone sees these images, they will all see what the entire day was all about. Monte and Amy . . . you guys and your family and friends are awesome. We wish all events would have the feeling and impact that yours did. Thanks for letting us share your first day together as husband and wife.

P.S. – The motorcycles and riders were great and added just the right flair to this event.

  1. These idea was so good to me because everytime I harvest my ,I don’t mind to have an idea of planting it again. As for these tips, I’m so thankful because I gain an idea on how I value my flowers.
