So, even though we have a very firm rule NOT to participate in the bridal shows as we did do for many years, we do usually walk the show to see what new things are out there that we haven’t seen before.
Brian, Skye and I spent about an hour, looking at every booth and taking in the sites. We saw a lot of people and businesses we have known for years and there was about the same amount of new vendors as is the case every year. If statistics holds true, 60+% of these new vendors will not be in business or in this area by this time next year. This sounds horrible but it is true. If only the clients who hire these companies knew this, they might check them out a little better. To the ones who have been tried and true and always do upstanding, honest business, WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! And to the others, “what goes around, comes around.”
Maybe someday they will learn.
And for all the potential clients who are smart enough to (1) check out these vendors and (2) do the proper comparison . . . your rewards will be plenty. As is the case every year, our company will be flooded with phone calls and emails from “brides to be” from this bridal show, asking to see what “we do” that is not like all the companies they saw at the show. We would love to tell each and every one of them that we have their date available. Unfortunantly, only a lucky few are able to have this option. We look forward this week, to helping as many as we can.
