There is only one short period in the year that the famous Palouse Falls is incredible to see. Yes, the first few weeks of June is it, so Commie and I decided to make the trip. It is not easy to find and nowhere close to anywhere people usually go. You have to be going there to see it as there is nothing else anywhere even close. So we filled the truck with gas and headed out with plenty of camera gear. As was the case with most of our field trips, we scouted out a new restaurant along the way. Casuelas Mexican food in Ritzville was slightly difficult to find, but WELL WORTH the trip. This will most definitely be on our “best little finds” list this year. This Mexican food is simply outstanding and very different that the norm. (yes . . . we like that, of course)
So when we finally got to the falls, it was a site for sore eyes. More water than you would expect, especially after seeing no water anywhere for hours. Yes, there were people there but the park is plenty big enough to handle well over a hundred people at one time. It was very clean and the signs were helpful for those who wanted to know more about the area and why it came to be. As the following images reflect, we found a ton to photograph and had a very nice and relaxing time. This is a must see for anyone who lives in the area.
Be well . . .
Commie and Rain
love!
