We have been designing and printing this car club’s calendars for many years now. They truly are one of the best calendars in our area if not beyond. Here is an example of one of the months. This one had Bunker Buildings as the sponsor for the month of July. We shot this at night and used off-camera strobes to light each car appropriately. What do you think? Our Print Work is Simply UNBEATABLE !!!

Every business purchases print materials on a regular basis. Whether business cards, flyers, postcards or banners, this is a regular expense that many businesses often do not realize how much money actually goes out to this. If you were to look at what even a small company pays in a year for print materials, you would be shocked at the total.

How would you like to cut this expense in half or more? And how would you like to not only save half or more, but also have a dedicated graphics team to do quick designs or changes with the same company?

Spokane Photo – Walk / Dec. 13, 2015 . . .

Here are a few results from last Sunday’s Photo-Walk in downtown Spokane. I decided to use a lens that I haven’t pulled out in over 10 years. A 35mm Carl Zeiss lens from my Contax 645. It was modified through a FotoDiox adapter. I think they came out pretty nice. This was a great time for the dozen or so that attended. Lots of really great images. Nunley / Malek Wedding . . .

This was a wedding that will be a part of our memories for a very long time. Our hearts were ripped out when we found out that this groom has received recent news that has changed his life forever. He has cancer and the outlook is not promising. If there is ever a time for a miracle, this is it. Dannette and I photographed this event and found the couple, wedding party, family and guests to be nothing short of awesome. Here are a few random images from this event for everyone to see and share.

We ask that you all pray for this groom and family as they are going through an extremely difficult time right now. Jace and Libby . . . may God smile upon your time together, no matter how long it is. Our hearts are with each of you daily.

Yes, it is finally coming together. The long awaited photo tours through our new division; 8FeetAcross.Com is coming to fruition. On the docket for 2016 is Glacier National Park, The Philippines, White Sands / Gila Wilderness and Costa Rica. We think this is a good start and will show how successful this will be in the upcoming years. Stay in touch guys . . . there is a LOT of great information to come. Our company has photographed a million classic and hot rod cars over the years. But none have ever shown the professionalism and organization that this car club exhibits in everything they do. We love doing work for and with each of them. The image shown was done for last years calendar and the new 2016 calendar is being photographed and designed with every weekend now. This club will no doubt be known as the “go to club” for the best car calendar found anywhere. And yes . . . we will have these calendars available for sale sometime here in the near future. Please let us know if you wish to reserve a few. They make great gifts (like stocking stuffers), for the guy who has everything.

Operation GIFT / Ronald McDonald House Dinner . . .

What a great event we had last Thursday evening. We were able to feed roughly 15 families and everything went extremely well. Everyone enjoyed the food (especially my homemade coleslaw), and we were able to make a few kid’s day a little better and the smiles were all we needed to end a wonderful day. Zoey – My best Friend for over 10 years …

For over 10 years I never needed an alarm clock.

Our big fur-ball Zoey, came into my room every day between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning and pushed her big Newfoundland / Golden Retriever body against my bed until I got up to let her outside. It was her way of saying, “Time to get up and go to work.”

She has been in our family for over 10 years and has always been a special “part of our family.” She was never a problem, never ran away, never tore anything up, never was aggressive and was simply the best dog we have ever known.

She used to go to work with me every day and spent the day in the studio and did various trips to the store, bank, clients or just out making deliveries. It didn’t matter where we went, she always wanted to go. To her, it was simply about “being included.” For those who knew her, and almost all of our friends and clients did, she truly was a special kind of dog. Her ability to do facial expressions and communicate was something I have never seen before in a dog.

When we first got her many years ago, my kids and I took her for a walk downtown one Saturday evening. Well, as some people know, when you put a dog on a new dog food, it takes a while for the dog’s body to adjust and many times there is a short time of disruption to their digestive and bowel system. Well, we were going by the windows in front of The Spaghetti Factory and as we were waving to the people inside eating as they were pointing to our beautiful new dog, we didn’t realize until we looked back that Zoey had been spewing a 40 foot long string of very liquid diarrhea that everyone in the restaurant was reacting to. And yes, we were mortified and could do nothing but run away. This story has been told hundreds of times over the years and caused many a belly laugh.

I held her body and rubbed her ears last night as she breathed her final breath. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life.

She was my companion, my confidant, my trusted advisor, my security, my bedfellow in the woods when we went camping, my swim partner and probably most importantly . . . my mirror in life. I talked to Zoey about things that no other human knows.

For over 10 years I never needed an alarm clock.

This morning, I awoke to what what appeared to be something pushing against my bed. I know in my heart that it was Zoey saying, “Time to get up and go to work” one last time.

She will be missed more than anyone could ever know. I have never loved and trusted anyone or any thing more than I did her . . .

For those who did not know her, the following is a link to our entry into the 48 hour film festival. We decided to use Zoey as the star of the show. As you can see, she far surpassed our expectations. She truly was a movie star dog.
